ORGANIZATION PROFILE: SpaCityNiteLIFE & Entertainment is an Arkansas based
publisher of a Hot Springs Night life and Entertainment website. We are
expanding our market publishing a 30+ page Entertainment Magazine for Hot
Springs. With this new media we will be covering more topics like: Oaklawn,
Magic Springs Concert Series, Restaurants, Weddings, A look in the spa city and
small write-ups on fashion, tradition, community and more.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: We are looking for eager people who can produce that
have an interest in writing, photography or graphic design. Must work well
under deadlines and be interested in Entertainment.
Writers: write articles, write-ups on products, interviews and more.
Articles topics will be chosen from a list of general categories, exact topic
and view will be determined based on writer. Interns: will write one feature article and
one-two small write-ups each month for term of internship. Also there will be availability
to write other articles only published on the website.
Photographers: must be able shoot in a multitude of conditions and be
able to edit all photos in Adobe Photoshop to a production ready state. Camera
can be provided as well as editing programs. We cover two to six events per
week varying in scale and type, you would not have to cover all events. Interns: will take photos at varied events
and on scheduled shoots for articles in
publication and edit photos to production ready state. Hours of work can range
from 3-20 hours per week depending on academic credit requirements and skill
level.
Graphic Design: must be knowledgeable in Adobe programs (main design done
in In-Design and Photoshop). Able to help design/layout magazine for print. Programs can be provided. Interns: depending on skill level job could
vary from design & layout support to
full charge magazine layout & design. Could have extreme creative freedom.
